Fantastic experience!
On 20 and 21 May I gave it two lessons on blender and animation at the Assembly Hall , Department of Mathematics and informatics, University of Catania.
The great hall was crowded and the course was followed both by informatic students who already knew blender and art students who first approached the computer graphics.
The first day we talked about the secrets of good posing and classical principles of animation, while the second day we saw how you can apply these principles in blender 2.5.
This trip to Catania gave me the opportunity to meet people absolutely fantastic first Professor Giovanni Gallo thank you for the wonderful hospitality and then the boys and the girls of Reibe studioswith whom we have also made a jaunt to see the wonderful Sicilian landscape.
a festival of short animated movies created by Giovanni Gallo, Professor of Computer Graphics at the University of Catania, organised by the not for profit association Erbematte together with Federico Lupo of Galleria Zelle in Palermo
It also proposes a seminar and CG workshops entitled:
“Animation: principles and practice in Blender 2.5″
by Fernando Luceri
two lessons at the Assembly Hall , Department of Mathematics and informatics, University of Catania which incorporates and expands on the ideas expressed in the workshop in Turin
see you at the foot of the volcano!
I built this hut to test the possibilities of realism of the internal engine of Blender in archeleogical virtual reconstruction.
Since this object will not be part of the final work (assuming you manage to complete) i’m pleased to release in creative commons license
Fernando Luceri
Note: the object is released without the texture because some of these are not creative commons license
wow incredible experience!
I do not know how many people had the room, but it was full and there were people sitting on the floor!
I had prepared a presentation avoiding blender extremism,
something that was accessible even to those not using blender
the choice has proven successful
I intend to prepare a document of what was said during the workshop
