Clouds!

I was looking at the asset list of ‘Modeling Sprint for Durian’

and I realized that there were even multiple contributions for the same request, while the clouds entry was still empty.
Some time ago, while working on “progetto verde”, I made a survey about clouds that can be useful… so I registered on BlenderSwap and uploaded my file (you can download it from here).
I hope it’s not too late.

Considering this … maybe a scorpion can be useful too ? :) )

I was inspired to animals of some fantasy movie

the result seems convincing.

was the first thing that I modeled for the “progetto verde”
at this link you can follow the long gestation with all the steps, the errors and valuable tips of friends.

tartaruga
Finally, I added the details and textures

verde tartaruga

Compared to concept in rendering the animal is larger and some elements of technology have been replaced but it seems that he capture the spirit.

After seeing avatar
I absolutely had to give the third dimension to “progetto verde”
I know there is a way to do it in blender
but I preferred to export the image and the z buffer from Blender and use “bas-relief”

which gives many more editing possibilities.
